Balance Blood Sugar 🎢

Blood sugar balance is a foundational pillar of health!
Managing blood sugar levels is crucial for maintaining optimal gut and hormone health.
Elevated blood sugar can disrupt the balance of gut bacteria, leading to inflammation and an increased risk of GI issues.
My top tips -
Add fiber in the form of veggies to every meal
Eat in a relaxed state (yes, stress can spike blood sugar)
Sleep 7-8 hours a day (lack of sleep makes you more prone to larger blood sugar spikes)
Consume protein at every meal *see below

Eat More Protein 🥩

Animal protein intake is directly correlated with satiety and gut health.
Animal protein contributes to GI health by supporting the integrity of the gut lining. Protein consumption revs up the stomach’s ability to produce stomach acidity which reduces bloat and gas after meals.
My top tip -
Track your protein intake and aim for 25-30g per meal minimum
Add in a quality protein powder to increase protein intake, you can use protein powder as a meal replacement or snack

Find Your “Rest and Digest”

Shifting out of the fight or flight mode will solve your GI issues.
When our body is in fight or flight mode, it prioritizes immediate survival over other functions, such as digestion.
It's no surprise that many individuals grapple with gastrointestinal issues, given the prevalent and heightened stress levels in today's fast-paced world.
My top tips -
Implement a daily meditation or breath work practice, even 5 minutes goes a long way
